Facilitated Focus for RandomSoft
Overview
During the Flexo Edge Conference 2025, RandomSoft partnered with Thom and Timber to host a Facilitated Focus session, a Clarity Jam designed to help industry stakeholders rapidly align on shared challenges and actionable priorities. The goal was to enable fast, structured decision-making and collective ownership across Nigeria's printing ecosystem.
Process
Using Thom and Timber's Design-Led Facilitation Framework, participants were guided through a series of exercises to:
1. Map Challenges - Identify pressing issues affecting operations and industry growth.
2. Cluster Themes - Group insights under key categories such as Energy, Policy, Financing, and Technology.
3. Co-Create Solutions - Generate and prioritize high-impact solutions through collaborative voting.
4. Plan Next Steps - Outline immediate actions within group clusters.
The session created clarity, structure, and shared momentum among diverse industry participants.
Outcome
Strategic Alignment: Stakeholders agreed on tariff reduction as a central strategic focus for collective advocacy.
Shared Understanding: Recurring themes around energy, financing, and equipment servicing highlighted systemic barriers and collaboration opportunities.
Collective Momentum: The format fostered active participation, turning dialogue into tangible direction and reinforcing RandomSoft's role as an industry convenor.
Impact
The Clarity Jam showcased how design-led facilitation transforms complex, multi-stakeholder discussions into clear decisions and actionable outcomes, all within a single session. It demonstrated the value of structured creativity in helping organizations and industries make sense, make choices, and move forward together.
